About Grey

We're three people. A 10th-floor showroom in Manhattan. A craft lineage that goes back over a decade.

The story

Grey is a continuation of a craft lineage that began over a decade ago at a prior company. We're not a heritage house and we don't present as one. We're a small team that's serious about the work, close with our members, and genuinely enjoys what we do. Most garments are made by a dedicated overseas production partner and finished and fitted by Jerome in New York. We don't hide this. It's part of why we can do bespoke at member pricing.

That lineage started when our founders paired up with Jerome, a Togolese Master Tailor, and rented a space on 24th St. in Manhattan. They built a clientele almost entirely on word of mouth, and not much has changed since. During COVID, the Grey Membership was born: a small annual fee for access to unlimited custom-made luxury menswear, transparent pricing, and a real relationship with the people making your clothes. That's the whole model.

David Murray, Grey Clothiers

David Murray

Clothier

David works with every member personally. From the first conversation, through fabric selection, design, fitting, and every order after.

He's been doing this for over a decade, across two companies. He's not a salesman. He's a clothier and it shows.

Jerome

Master Tailor

Jerome is a Togolese master tailor who has been working with our team since the beginning. He handles every fitting, every alteration, and every finishing detail on every garment that leaves the showroom.

He also cuts and sews our jeans from scratch — patterned to your body, built entirely by hand. The quality of what we make is inseparable from the quality of his hands.
